Sammy tuger Wins For Zafaa Best Cinematography – film produced by Chris Brown
Ghanaian cinematographer Samuel Anakwah, referred to as Sammy Tuger in the industry circles has been adjudged ‘best cinematographer’ by ZAFAA – ‘The biggest African Film Award in London’ and Ghanaians cannot help but be proud as he beat stiff opposition from three Nollywood cinematographers to pick up the accolade.
The Zulu African Academy Awards (ZAFAA) honoured him for his role in the production of ‘Royal Diadem’ a Ghanaian movie produced by Chris Brown and directed by Eddie Nartey.
Samuel Anakwah, better known as Sammy Tuger is the Director of Photography of Juliet Ibrahim’s ‘Jewels Production’ and doubles as the CEO of renowned Ghanaian Multimedia firm Anak’s Multimedia.
He expressed his appreciation to Ghanaians for their immense support and prayer. He added that he was awarded in 2016 but the ceremony where the official presentation will be done takes place this November along with this year’s ceremony.
Sammy Tuger has worked on international films that starred Hollywood actors Oris Eheuro as well as Jimmy Jean Louis of ‘Terminator’ fame
On the local front, he has been a pillar in the making of films such as Shattered Romance, Number One Fan, Royal Diadem, Nwa Ghana among several others.
