The La Liga giants and their supporters headed to Anfield as huge favourites to make the final following the 3-0 first leg triumph at the Nou Camp last week.
Even after Divock Origi had pulled one back for Liverpool early on, Barca still looked odds-on to advance as they went in 3-1 on aggregate at half time.
But something special was in store in front of the Kop after the restart – and it broke the Catalans’ hearts.
A quick-fire brace from Georgino Wijnaldum was followed up by a winner from Origi as the Reds pulled off mission impossible to win 4-3.
And as their own fans revelled in glory, many others took even more satisfaction from the clips of the sad and stunned faces in the away end shown on TV.
One tweeted: “Hahahaha crying Barca fans, one of my favourites things in life.”
Another said: “Salty Barca fanboys, this is the point where you might want to turn around and go back to crying in the corner.”
While another wrote: “Liverpool making Barcelona fans cry, BOOM.”
It did not stop there, as another supporter said: “Barca fans crying all over the place…. the magic of football right there. Wonderful.”
While another delighted Red wrote: “Barca fans crying? YOU LOVE TO SEE IT.”
“Barcelona fans mocked PSG for being bottlers only to to become worse bottlers,” added another. “YOU BLEW 3-GOAL LEADS WITH ZE ‘GOAT’ IN YOUR TEAM?”
